Man arrested in connection to assault on TTC streetcar

Toronto police on Friday announced the arrest of a man accused of assaulting a victim on board a TTC streetcar in March. 

Police allege the suspect — identified as 47-year-old Shaun Dwayne Eubank of Toronto — was riding a streetcar in the Spadina Avenue and College Street area on March 16 when the incident occurred. 

According to a police release, Eubank "randomly punched the victim in the face and then kicked the victim causing him to fall out of the open door onto the transit stop median." 

The suspect fled the scene on foot. The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to the hospital, police said. 

Eubank was arrested on Thursday and charged with assault causing bodily harm and failure to comply with a probation order.
