Man arrested for carrying gun into TTC stations

Toronto police on Monday afternoon announced the arrest of a man accused of carrying a firearm into two TTC stations.

According to police, the suspect entered two subway stations and pressed the emergency alarm on Saturday, May 30. Police did not specify which TTC stations.

All power to the subways coming into the stations was disabled.

Officers were called to the Coxwell Avenue and Danforth Avenue area around 1:40 a.m. over reports of a person with a gun.

The suspect was located and arrested, and a firearm on his person was seized.

Mandal-Allen has been charged with two counts of mischief, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized and possession of a weapon.
