A 44-year-old man was sentenced to 45 days in jail and an 18-month ban from riding the subway for sexually assaulting a TTC transit ambassador.
On August 4 at 3:25 p.m., the accused approached the employee and asked for help. He then slid his hand in the victim’s right pocket and groped her buttocks. The ambassador reported the incident and the male fled.
Transit Enforcement Officers were dispatched to the scene and located the man at Dundas Station. Following an investigation, he was arrested by Toronto Police and charged with sexual assault.
